Mandela's Leadership Rules
No. 2: Lead from the front - but don't leave your base behind.
"Things will be better in the long run", he said.
"I am thinking about our future generations, posterity in mind.
His question was,
"How will they (future generations) think about what we have done?"
Mandela's Tipping Point: Tactics
Mandela refused to negotiate at a time when everyone expected him to negotiate.
For him, this was about tactics, not principles.
He made the distinction that almost anything that would get him to the actual goal
(of over-throwing apartheid and the achievement of one man/one vote),
was a tactic to be used strategically.
Tactics as a Tipping Point: If you could be more strategic, more tactical in your leadership, what would that give you? Who could you accomplish?
